More users will be able to take advantage of this exciting new Windows 11 feature.

With the latest batch of upgrades, Windows 11 users may expect a revamped search tool.By clicking or tapping on the taskbar, the new "Search Highlights" function promises to "highlight important and interesting moments of what's great about each day - including holidays, anniversaries, and other educational points in time both internationally and in your location."

The feature could be beneficial for those of us who use business computers and laptops and who need a little additional help remembering essential colleagues' birthdays.

Search in Windows 11

The feature will be sent out to Windows 11 users in a "phased and measured" manner over the next weeks and months.

In March 2022, the functionality was rolled out to Windows 10 users, and it's now available in Windows 11 version 22H2, which you can try out if you're a Windows Insider.

Users will be able to explore more material inside the search home, such as "phrase of the day," Microsoft Rewards offers, and trending searches, with the new feature.

To help users get back to what they were doing last, the left side of the search home will provide an expanded list of your recently launched apps, files, settings, and websites.

If you don't like the function, you can disable it by navigating to "Privacy & Security," then "More Settings," and then deselecting "Show search highlights."

Additional controls are also accessible for organisational administrators, which you may find by going here (opens in new tab).

Microsoft has been very busy in terms of releasing new services for Windows developers.

Developers who don't have access to powerful mobile workstations will benefit from Microsoft Dev Box, which will provide self-service access to high-performance, cloud-based workstations that are pre-configured and ready-to-code for specific projects.

We can stay connected with friends and family no matter where they live. 5. Technolo...

Market for quantum computing shows advancement and new alliances

Market for quantum computing shows advancement and new alliances   1. Quantum computing market size Quantum computers are expected to have a significant impact on the world economy over the coming years. In 2017, IBM announced its first commercial quantum computer, called the Q System One. The company claims that the machine can perform certain calculations at 100 times faster than traditional supercomputers. IBM’s quantum computer uses a different approach to classical computers, where bits of information are represented not as 1s and 0s, but rather as both 1s and 0s simultaneously. This type of computation is known as quantum computing. 2. Market drivers The market for quantum computing is driven by several factors including increasing demand for high-performance computing systems, increased use of artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms, and the need for greater security and privacy protection. According to Gartner, the global market for quantum computing was ...

Will technology take over the world?

Will technology take over the world?   1. Artificial intelligence Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the science of making computers think just like humans. AI is already being used today in many ways and will continue to evolve rapidly. There are two types of AI: narrow AI and general AI. Narrow AI is what we use everyday and includes things like search engines, self-driving cars, and speech recognition software. General AI would allow machines to think and learn like humans do. 2. Robotics Robotics is the science of building robots. Robots are automated devices that perform specific tasks based on preprogrammed instructions. In recent years, robotics has become increasingly popular among inventors and engineers. Today, robots are commonly used in manufacturing facilities to automate repetitive tasks. Many people believe that in the future, robots will completely replace human workers. 3. Biotechnology Biotechnology is the study of biology and how it affects ou...
